Prospective students wishing to major in music must pass an entrance audition. Auditions assess the ability level of students desiring to complete a Bachelor of Arts in Music or Bachelor of Music. For all students, including those not wishing to become music majors, the audition serves to evaluate the suitability for admission to an ensemble or program and determine a scholarship amount, when applicable, for participation in 1 of 24 performing choirs, bands, orchestras, and ensembles, as well as those wishing to complete the Bachelor of Music with an emphasis in Composition.
Applicants are strongly encouraged to complete the FAFSA to expedite the scholarship process. If you are ineligible for FAFSA, but would still like to be considered for the scholarship, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
To schedule an appointment for an audition, call the School of Music at (626) 815-3848. For more audition information, view the PDFs listed below.
