Hansel and Gretel
APU Opera invites you to attend our production of Engelbert Humperdinck’s Hansel and Gretel*
Hansel and Gretel has delighted audiences for many years. The German composer, Engelbert Humperdinck, wanted to compose an opera that would be enjoyed by both adults and children. The story is based on the Grimm’s Fairy Tale about two children lost in a forest who use their cleverness to outwit a witch. Beautiful melodies wound through a fanciful story create an enjoyable evening not to be missed.
This performance is sung in German (English surtitles provided) with orchestra, and features the Opera Corps de Ballet.
