Spring 2013 Guest Lectures

This third lecture is with scultpor Christopher Slatoff.

Christopher Slatoff, the current sculpture chairman of the California Art Club, is the son of an art professor. He studied in both the United States and France, ultimately earning a Bachelors of Fine Arts Degree in Sculpture from California State Long Beach where he has been teaching life sculpture. Slatoff also teaches sculpture at Art Center School of Design and will be teaching Medieval and Renaissance Art History in Orvieto, Italy this summer.

Slatoff has had numerous and group exhibitions. Most recently, Christopher was commissioned to create the crucifix at USC's new Caruso Catholic Center. His sculpture project, Fr. Electrico, in collaboration with the acclaimed writer Ray Bradbury, won the 2008 Gold Medal for Sculpture at the 97th Annual Gold Medal Juried Exhibition at the Pasadena Museum of California Art.

This event will take place on Tuesday, February 26 in Duke Lobby, West Campus from 5:00-5:45pm.
