Message to Commuter Students

Dear Commuter Student,

Welcome to the Office of Communiversity where countless opportunities await you! On behalf of our office, we are delighted that you have chosen to make Azusa Pacific University your home for the 2006-07 school year.

Whether you are a first time commuter or you are returning for another academic year, we want you to be successful. We hope that you feel the spirit, energy, and excitement that abounds in our office.

We are committed to ensuring a smooth transition into the APU community. We proudly offer a complementary set of programs and services. Special discounts and benefits for commuter students, monthly fellowship events, commuter lockers for storage, and highly motivated staff and student leaders are available to assist you in your academic and personal success. We hope you will use our office as a resource.

We would also like to take this opportunity to offer a friendly reminder to those living in any off-campus location such as Pinery, Global Village, Colony Park, and any other off-campus location to uphold the behavioral standards set forth in the APU Student Standards of Conduct found in the Student Handbook. The following are a few examples of inappropriate off-campus behavior: breaking the law, cohabitation, alcohol use, and non-compliance with a university official. Please familiarize yourself with the standards of community living as described within the Student Handbook.

The commuter experience can provide many opportunities for growth, especially if you immerse yourself within positive and dynamic opportunities in our APU community.

If you have any questions about any of our services, please contact us at (626) 812-3053. You may also drop by our office located within the Student Union. Best wishes to you for a successful year!

Sincerely,

The Office of Communiversity
