Trips

Outdoor Adventures offers day trips, weekend trips, and special events that include rock climbing, backpacking, bike tours, mud caving, kayaking, canyoneering, geocaching, and even Dutch oven cooking.

No experience or ability is necessary for any of our trips. Transportation, food, equipment, and instructional leaders are provided.

Get Involved

Sign up for any Outdoor Adventures trip at InCom Center located in the Cougar Dome on East Campus. Come early to reserve your spot. When you sign up, you will need to pay for the trip and submit a complete Medical History Form and Release of Liability.

Wilderness Orientation

As a supplement to the traditional New Student Orientation, Outdoor Adventures offers a unique opportunity for freshmen and transfer students to spend time in God’s creation, build friendships, and learn about APU.

Summer 2009 Wilderness Orientation

What: Backpacking in the Ansel Adams Wilderness in the Sierra Nevadas near Yosemite
When: July 18–25, 2009
Where: Meet at APU campus to leave; will return to same location
Cost: $400
