Counseling Center Support Available
April 18, 2007

Our hearts and prayers go out to those who are grieving the tragic shootings that took place at Virginia Tech University on Monday, April 16. In light of this horrific event, the university suggests that you connect with your support system of family and friends. In addition, APU's Counseling Center would like to remind all students of the full scope of resources available to them both at this time, and throughout their time at APU.

The center is located on East Campus. Stop by or call (626) 815-2109 to discuss specific needs and available services. Also, the American Psychological Association Help Center has posted tips for students grappling with the Virginia Tech incident. The article can be viewed at the following link:

In addition to the University Counseling Center, the Office of the Campus Pastor, the graduate Chaplin, Residence Life staff, and many others are available for support as needed. The well-trained staff in each of these areas are on standby and ready to serve.
