Application Process
The University Counseling Center is currently accepting applications for three to four unpaid practicum positions for the upcoming academic year.
Experience Required
This is an intermediate to advanced level practicum. Applicants must have completed at least two years of doctoral-level coursework and two previous years of practicum. (Candidates who do not meet these requirements but have significant additional experience may be considered.)
Commitment
Academic year (10 months), 16 hours per week. Approximately 600 total hours. Students are encouraged to spend two full days per week at the UCC, with Thursdays being a required day.
Duration
Tentative dates: August 21, 2008–June 11, 2009
How to Apply
All potential applicants must be able to agree with and sign APU’s Statement of Faith (PDF)*. Mail or fax a letter of intent, curriculum vitae with names and contact information for three references (including two former or current clinical supervisors), and signed Statement of Faith. An in-person interview will be required of all final candidates. Final offers will be extended through the SCAPTP Uniform Notification Day process.
