In this course, students gain an appreciation for how security knowledge is needed to operate telecommunications devices and use the results effectively. Security expertise also helps teams address security in the requirements and design phases, where analogous tools don’t exist and where the majority of vulnerabilities are introduced—ensuring the early detection and prevention of vulnerabilities.
