Units: 3
This course provides a practical application of principle and theory in an
actual business setting through an internship opportunity. The student
learns to set objectives and measure performance against those objectives
in a business setting through a structured reporting process with the
instructor. As an alternative to the internship experience, students may
be chosen to participate in SIFE (Students in Free Enterprise), SBA
(Scholars for Business Achievement) or directed research for service
learning. May be taken three times for credit. Prerequisites: completion
of 60 units, appropriate employment for internship, and instructor’s
permission. Participation in SIFE, SBA, or service learning research
subject to instructor’s permission.
