Clinical Residency
Units: 4
The clinical residency is an internship clinical experiential program designed
as a collaborative partnership between the School of Nursing and selected
community in-patient health care organizations. This residency is an
intensive preceptored clinical experience planned to ease the role
transition from a student nurse to a beginning professional nurse in
an acute-care setting. In addition, it enhances the skill and practice
knowledge of the student in preparation for the RN licensing examination.
Prerequisites: Successful completion of all pre-licensure clinical courses
