This course provides instruction on current theories and methods of couples/marriage therapy. Students gain basic knowledge in the application, assessment, and interventions of several theoretical models and are introduced to psychological instruments used in marital therapy. Emphasis is placed on how marriage therapy attends to diversity issues such as ethnicity, spirituality, and cultural considerations within the clinical setting.
