Child and Adolescent Therapy

This course provides an understanding of the broad range of childhood and adolescent problems and disorders. A variety of psychotherapeutic modalities is presented, offering the student an opportunity to develop a knowledge of basic child and adolescent therapy skills, assessments, and treatment strategies. The impact of development aspects, family dynamics, social environments, and multicultural issues are addressed. In addition, legal and ethical issues and the role of hospitalization are considered.
