Introduction to Forensic Psychology

This course provides the clinical psychology student an introduction to forensic psychology theory, methods, and assessment. This is the first and foundational course in a series of four elective courses in the family forensic psychology elective concentration. This course provides students with the opportunity to learn the foundational theory in law and psychology that serves as foundational knowledge for deeper study in forensic assessment and family forensic psychology. Specifically, this course covers the introduction to the psychological and legal aspects of criminal, civil, and family forensic psychology. Prerequisites: Assessment I; Assessment II; Assessment III.
