Leadership in Health Care Settings
This clinical course synthesizes selected information presented in the generic baccalaureate program for presentation in condensed format. The course addresses the development and nature of today's health care systems and associated nursing issues in the United States. The content also familiarizes the student with major nursing roles: leader, consultant, teacher, manager, and client advocate. The course focuses on client needs in acute health care settings and emphasizes the interdependent relationship between the health care system and advocate.
