Senior Practicum Seminar II
Units: 3
The final Social Work Seminar focuses on integration of learning and practice in prepartion for beginning generalist social work practice for students currently in field placement. The student's practice, related reading, prior experience, prior learning in the liberal arts, the professional foundation, and case material are drawn upon for problem solving. Emphasis is placed on service planning, implementation, termination, values, and ethics as expressed in the NASW Code of Ethics, and ethnic-sensitive practice with diverse and oppressed populations. Prerequisites: SOCW 466, SOCW 467, senior standing, and registration with the social work field director; corequisite: SOCW 468
