Clinical Practice I (Student Teaching, 7–12)
Units: 2
Students complete a semester of full-time, supervised student teaching in appropriate public school 7-12 classrooms, with assignments at the primary and intermediate level. Each placement provides teaching experiences with English-language learners and ethnically diverse students. Students who successfully complete student teaching and meet all CTC requirements and other applicable state requirements are recommended for the SB 2042 Preliminary Single-Subject Credential. Applications for enrollment in this course must be made by April 1 for the fall semester, or by November 1 for the spring semester. Prerequisite: Admission to single-subject credential program; Student must submit application and be cleared prior to student teaching; corequisites: TEP 548 and TEP 588
