Student Teaching Seminar (7–12)

The purpose of the seminar is to discuss problems common to student teachers in 7–12 classrooms, address individual concerns, and readdress legal issues. The course culminates in the presentation of a professional teaching portfolio completed throughout the credential program. The course relies extensively on on people outside of the program to serve as resources. Prerequisites: students must be admitted to the teacher education and single-subject credential programs. A school placement for student teaching is required for enrollment. This course is offered for students who have a applied and have been cleared for student teaching prior to the beginning of this class. Prerequisite: admission to single-subject credential program; corequisites for single-subject credential students: TEP 548 and TEP 578B
