Student Teaching Seminar (7–12)
Units: 3
The purpose of the seminar is to discuss problems common
to student teachers in 7–12 classrooms, address
individual concerns, and readdress legal issues. The
course culminates in the presentation of a professional
teaching portfolio completed throughout the credential
program. The course relies extensively on on people outside of the program to serve as resources. Prerequisites: students must be admitted to
the teacher education and single-subject credential programs. A school placement for student
teaching is required for enrollment. This course is
offered for students who have a applied and have been
cleared for student teaching prior to the beginning of
this class. Prerequisite: admission to single-subject credential program; corequisites for single-subject
credential students: TEP 548 and TEP 578B
