Geographical and Historical Setting of the Bible
Units: 3
This comprehensive course of study emphasizes the
geography, history, and archaeology of Israel in
biblical times, as well as introduces the postbiblical
history of the land, the Holocaust, and the complex
social issues facing the modern nation of Israel. The
course may include a 10-day tour of the Bible lands.
Meets the General Studies core requirement in God's Word
and the Christian Response/Bible. Prerequisites: completion of 100- and 200-level General Studies Bible requirement or department approval
