This is an elective course in pharmacology intended to enhance the student’s ability to apply knowledge acquired in the basic pharmacology course by utilizing critical thinking skills at a more advanced level. Emphasis is placed on the application and utilization of pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, and pharmacotherpeutics of major drug categories utilized to manage common patient disorders across the lifespan in clinical nursing practice.
