Students complete a semester of full-time, supervised student teaching in appropriate public school 7-12 classrooms, with assignments at the primary and intermediate level. Each placement provides teaching experiences with English language learners and ethnically diverse students. Students who successfully complete student teaching and meet all CCTC requirements and other applicable state requirements are recommended for the SB 2042 Preliminary Single-Subject Credential. Applications for enrollment in Student Teaching must be made by April 1 for the fall semester, or by November 1 for the spring semester.
