Project: Utilizing Multimedia to Enhance Student Learning in an Online Teaching Environment

Abstract/Summary: This project creates a virtual classroom environment where students feel at home without taking on a mortgage. The goal of this course project was to create a Virtual Classroom Environment (VCE) that provides the student with a stimulating multidimensional environment, enhances learning and expands collaboration. Sakai is used as the foundation of the environment with a variety of connections to other learning tools such as Kaltura Media, Google Docs, and Wishing Wall. The content of the environment is completely housed in Resources and connects to the Assignment, Forums and Gradebook Tools in Sakai.
