Message from the Assistant Provost

The foundation of diversity at Azusa Pacific University is the concept of Imago Dei, Latin for “the Image of God.” Our goal is to establish and sustain a campus environment that recognizes and values the worth of every individual based on the Lord’s love for them and His command to love our neighbor. The ethos of Imago Dei will be demonstrated in our interactions, publications, pedagogy, curriculum, and co-curricular programs and services. It is my hope that every student who graduates from APU will be equipped to advance the work of God in the world by knowing how to lovingly interact with the diversity of people the Lord designed.
