**Course for CLAD Certificate. Individuals who need to earn the CLAD Certificate may request approval from the program director to substitute some or all of the C.T.E.L. courses in place of required/elective program courses. Based on the student’s transcript of recent credential courses, the director will advise students which specific courses are needed for the CLAD Certificate requirements.

Corequisite

Students must subscribe to and register with TaskStream, an independent online, fee-based assessment service for the university, and must submit designated course projects as specified in the syllabi for EDUC 505, EDUC 507, EDUC 508, EDUC 554, and EDUC 589B.

How many units do I take each semester?
Half-time students take three to six units every nine-week term. Most candidates are working adults and do not take classes full time. Academic advising is highly recommended to determine the course load required.

How long is a semester?
All courses are offered in accelerated nine-week semester terms in fall and spring. For summer, the term lasts six weeks.

How many hours does each class session require?
Classes meet for approximately 4 hours and 45 minutes, once a week.

How many evenings per week do I attend classes?
Students attend one evening per week for each enrolled course.

How many students will there be in my classes?
This varies depending on the campus and the particular class, but the average class size in this program ranges from 12-15 students.

Does APU require theses, dissertations, or capstone projects?
No, this program does not require a thesis, dissertation, or capstone project. However, a research project is required in the final course.

How soon can I finish this program?
This program can potentially be finished in one year. However, it can take longer; therefore, academic advising is highly recommended and especially helpful in determining what is suitable for the individual based on personal schedule and content of the current class.
