About the Program

Students in the Master of Arts in Educational Technology and Learning Program gain firsthand experience in the integration and direct application of technology in the classroom through a blend of hands-on instruction and online learning. The focus moves beyond merely learning about technology to using specific tools to meaningfully engage today's learner.

Degree Uses

Based on the ISTE National Educational Technology Standards for Teachers, graduates of this program are equipped with the ability to effectively integrate technology into their daily instructional practices. They are leaders in the movement toward enriching the learning experiences of students in pre-K to 12 classrooms.

Classes in the Master of Arts in Education Technology and Learning Program are offered in a distributed learning environment with both face-to-face and online components. With a strong emphasis on the effective integration of technology into curriculum, students work with different software applications and digital equipment throughout their coursework.

Designed to allow each student the opportunity to meet their own professional goals, courses are offered in web design, podcasting, curriculum design, document design, video production, productivity software, information management, and other cutting-edge trends in educational technology.

Faculty members who are also leaders in the field of technology provide relevant coursework that is immediately applicable. Reflecting the growing trend of online learning, students learn how to function and thrive in an online environment as both a learner and teacher. Coordinators of technology and those seeking to energize their instructional program or move into a new position at the site or district level are invited to enroll.
