Teachers not previously authorized to work with students in these areas or capacities are authorized to do so upon completion of their authorization program.
Eligible candidates are those with a current CTC-designated Education Specialist Credential, Mild/Moderate (before Summer 2010):
- Level 1 Credential
- Level 2 Credential
The Added Authorization in Special Education can be completed on campus or online in just four to six months. The program consists of four courses, with each class meeting one night a week as students progress through the program.
