Several types of financial aid are available to graduate students who are U.S. citizens. The resources range from federal loans and state grants to, for some graduate programs, fellowships and scholarships. Military members—and in some cases their spouses and dependents—qualify for financial assistance covering tuition, housing, and books. School of Education Alumni Tuition Discounts
APU’s School of Education offers a 15 percent alumni tuition discount for Azusa Pacific alumni who begin graduate programs in summer 2016 or during the 2016-17 academic year.
To qualify for this discount, students must begin their program in summer 2016 or during the 2016-17 academic year and maintain continuous enrollment half time for fall and spring terms. Students must be in good academic standing and maintain satisfactory academic progress with a minimum cumulative grade-point average (GPA) of 3.0. If qualifications are met, the discount may be renewed each year until graduation.
APU doctoral alumni are not eligible for the School of Education alumni discount. Additionally, the alumni discount is not stackable with other institutional aid, such as School of Education scholarships. Students who are eligible for both may to choose to receive either the alumni discount or an APU scholarship.
Ed.D. Program Scholarship
Azusa Pacific University offers competitive scholarship support to doctoral candidates who demonstrate outstanding leadership qualities or leadership potential in K–12 education and who are committed to serving under-resourced schools and districts. Priority is given to current practitioners who are leading their schools and districts toward improved performance. Scholarship decisions are made at the time of admission, and no separate application is required. Continuous enrollment, good academic standing (minimum 3.5 GPA), and employment in K–12 education are required for annual award renewal for up to three years.
