Transfer of Tier II Courses to Ed.D.

Transfer of Tier II Courses to the Ed.D. Program

Students who have completed some or all of their Tier II Professional Administrative Services Credential through regionally accredited university coursework prior to beginning the Ed.D. Program may petition up to 12 units of academic work for transfer to the doctoral degree. Supervised field experience and induction units are not accepted for transfer. Transfer courses must have been earned with a grade of B or better within the preceding 10 years. In some cases, experienced educational leaders may petition for an extension of the 10-year limit, with justification on a course-by-course basis. Acceptance of such transfer units reduces the number of units required for the Ed.D. at Azusa Pacific University.

Students who receive transfer credit for courses EDUC 600, EDUC 610, EDUC 615, and EDUC 620 or equivalent may not take courses EDUC 714, EDUC 715, EDUC 717, or EDUC 728 for degree credit.

Please seek academic advising for this program, as state requirements may change.
