About the Department

The Department of Innovative Educational Technology and Physical Education provides opportunities for earning a master’s degree in education in the fields of physical education, educational technology, and digital teaching and learning. The department creates a cohesive environment where learners engage in analytic inquiry and research. The department is committed to spiritual development, diversity, and community.

Meeting the needs of 21st century learners, the department offers three different master’s degree programs that prepare teachers to integrate technology tools and design innovative instructional practices. Engaging coursework is directly applicable to each student’s teaching and learning environment.

The graduate physical education program creates a supportive learning environment within the broad discipline of physical education and athletics. The physical education faculty collaborate with students on professional development in the field as well as engage in research on topics relevant to physical education and sport. Students take courses in the related sub-disciplines of the field such as health sciences, coaching, and physical education pedagogy.
