Amber Parks, Ed. D., is a teacher educator in the School of Education, Department of Teacher Education, at Azusa Pacific University (APU). She received her Master of Arts Degree from Pepperdine University, Graduate School of Education and Psychology (GSEP) and Doctor of Education from the University of Southern California (USC), with an emphasis in K-12 Leadership. She joined APU as an Assistant Professor in Fall 2008.

As an educator, she was an elementary school teacher and instructional coach. Such experiences led her to pursue graduate studies focusing on school leadership and research on increasing parent involvement. She volunteers and collaborates with colleagues to develop teaching and learning practices within the university. Some of her other interests and duties include coordinating, strengthening, and sustaining existing university-school relationships with hopes of better preparing teacher candidates for the profession.
