Profile
Cindy Tanis has been affiliated with Azusa Pacific University since 1986. She was the first to graduate from the newly-developed athletic training program in 1986, and remained as a graduate assistant to further develop the program. Tanis served as head athletic trainer for 11 years, as well as program director and instructor/academic advisor. She has taught in the Graduate Physical Education Program since 1988, returning full-time to the program in 2001. Tanis is working on her Ph.D. in sport psychology with an anticipated graduation date of 2008. Her research interests include psychophysiological treatment methods for acute and chronic pain specifically relating to biofeedback and imagery/visualization training.
