As site coordinator for the multiple-subject program on the Ventura campus, Beth Anderson, Ph.D., teaches, coaches, models, and advises students. Curriculum and instructional leadership are her central interests. She models a variety of instructional strategies in the classroom, and brings a breadth of experience to the classroom from her previous jobs as a public school teacher and administrator. Research interests include instructional strategies, site-based decision making, and literacy. Andersen's background as a district reading coordinator also assists her in bringing both research and practical skills and concepts to her multiple and single-subject students. This background was also invaluable as she wrote several model syllabi for the newly implemented 2042 Credential, and wrote and presented the APU RICA Prep program. Andersen serves as a representative from teacher education on the NCATE Committee and is a member of the TPA Leadership team.
