Profile
Jim Green came to APU in 2002 and presently serves as Professor of Education in both the Department of Advanced Studies in Education and the Department of Doctoral Studies in Education. He began his career in education over thirty years ago as a high school English teacher; and his public school administrative experience includes serving as the superintendent of schools in South Haven, Kansas, and as the founding director of the Indiana Academy of Science, Mathematics, and Humanities, a state-wide residential school for academically gifted high school students. He has been on the faculties of several universities, including the University of Tulsa, where he served as director of the School of Education. He has authored or co-authored over fifty publications on various topics in education, including three books; and he is a frequent presenter at national and international conferences. In addition to his scholarship in the field of education, Jim's poetry has appeared in literary magazines in both the U.S. and England.
