Professor Kantiok is a Fulbright Scholar and an Intentional Scholar. He is an expert in peace and conflict management and an international peace practitioner. With a Ph.D. in Intercultural Studies, specializing in Muslim-Christian understanding, he also holds a postdoctoral in International Peace and Conflict Management. He is an international scholar with vast experience in America and Africa, with teaching experience in Ethiopia, Uganda, Ghana and Nigeria. Professor Kantiok is a trained teacher with about 40 years of experience in the classroom. He has taught a wide range of students from P-K12, Undergraduate, and Masters as well Doctoral level. Having taught at every level of education, Professor Kantiok can indeed claim to have seen it all. He is also a curriculum developer. A few of his academic achievements include: Developing the Center for Peace and Strategic Studies at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Nigeria. Developing the Graduate programs in Defense and Strategic Studies, Security Studies and Peace and Conflict Management at the Nigerian Defence Academy and Serving as a Coordinating Consultant to the Kaduna State Peace and Reconciliation Committee, Nigeria. His hallmark is excellence in teaching and research and he pushes his students to do so. He is a very caring teacher.
