Michael Block, Ph.D., is a professor in the School of Education and has more than 25 years of experience in public education as an educator and counselor. He has held many leadership positions in education in such areas as school counseling, career development, and curriculum planning. Much of Block's research and practice has included working with students who are at-risk. Block has been successful in producing numerous innovative strategies for increasing motivation and self-responsibility in students. His primary goal is to assist candidates entering the school counseling and psychology field in order to optimize their service in schools and communities with a Christ honoring commitment.
