Profile
Torria Bond’s fundamental interest is factors that influence the success of African American students in the public school urban setting. Bond’s doctoral study has found that personal relationships with students, as well as instructional expertise, are essential to their success. As the lead faculty member for the introduction to teaching as a profession and foundations of education, Bond provides interactive program modeling methods that appeal to the ethnically and linguistically diverse students that make up California’s secondary public school students.
