Candidates should check with their credential or master’s program department about how to include the CTEL coursework within their chosen program. The following are application requirements for candidates who are not currently in a credential or master of arts program at Azusa Pacific University.

The university graduate and program admission requirements below must be met before an application is considered complete.

International students have a separate application procedure that precedes the standard admission process. View international requirements.

Applicants must possess:

  • A bachelor’s degree
    A bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university.

Applicants must submit:

  • A Graduate Application for Admission (Apply Online | Download PDF)
  • Please use the following program code when applying to this program: CLAD01
  • A $45 nonrefundable application fee
  • A photocopy of current California teaching credential
    A photocopy of a current California teaching credential, or proof of being in the process of earning a California teaching credential, an Emergency Permit, or Certificate of Clearance

What to Expect

After all admission materials have been received by the Graduate Center, the faculty or department chair reviews the applicant’s file. The student is notified in writing of the admission decision.
