Biography

Robert (Bob) Taylor, Ed.D., serves as Superintendent in Residence for the School of Education at Azusa Pacific University where, in addition to teaching duties, he co-facilitates the APU Next Generation Superintendents’ Cohort. Taylor also currently serves as Superintendent of the Walnut Valley Unified School District in Los Angeles County.

He previously served as Deputy Superintendent of the Corona-Norco Unified School District. Prior to Taylor’s central office experiences, he served as both a middle school and high school Principal. Taylor also led the transformation of the administrative leadership program at the University of California, Irvine, where he served as director of the Clear Administrative Services Credential Program from 2011-2019.

He earned his Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from APU, his M.A. in Educational Administration from APU, and his B.A. in English Literature from the University of Redlands.
