Biography

Timothy D. Finlay, PhD, is a specialist in genre analysis of the Hebrew Bible. He employs both Inductive Bible Study and the Wesleyan Quadrilateral so that students learn the underlying philosophical presuppositions behind critical methodologies, and how well (or not) those underlying presuppositions accord with Judeo-Christian tradition and the history of human experience. Finlay also teaches classes in The Gospels and Christology, Hebrew, and Torah and Prophets. He is a member of the Society of Biblical Literature and of the National Association of Professors of Hebrew.
