Mission

The Office of Faith Integration exists to facilitate the dialogue between academics, the knowledge of their discipline and/or profession, and the Christian faith by resourcing our faculty in their efforts to bring faith to life in their research, their teaching, and their scholarship.

The faculty fellows who make up the office understand it is their role to promote a positive and well-resourced culture that will be marked by excellence in carrying out informed reflection on, and discovery of, Christian faith within the academic disciplines, professional programs, and lived practice, resulting in the articulation of Christian perspectives on truth and life in order to advance the work of God in the world.

  • Theology Faculty Participate in ‘Why We Work’ ProjectAzusa Pacific University theology faculty Gary Black Jr. and Paul Shrier participated in a research project, funded by the Kern Family Foundation, examining the relationship between Christian professionals and their working lives.
  • Speech and Debate Team Sweeps CompetitionAPU's speech and debate team performs exceptionally well, taking first, second, and third place at the novice and junior levels, finally closing out two national tournaments.
  • Cougar Interview–Dave Canales '02Dave Canales '02 became the first Cougar to participate in a Super Bowl when Seattle defeated the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl XLVIII. In the midst of this success, however, he seeks to put God and his family first.
