Scholarship Information

Who is eligible for Friends Center scholarships?

Every Friends Center student at C.P. Haggard Graduate School of Theology may receive scholarship assistance. A Friends Center student is someone serving or attending a Friends Church, taking courses through C.P. Haggard Graduate School of Theology at Azusa Pacific University, and under the academic advisement of the Friends Center director.

What are the expectations of a Friends Center student receiving scholarship assistance?

Friends Center students are expected to represent the Friends Center at the two major annual events:

  • Friends Center Banquet (April)
  • Friends Center Concert (November)

These students are also expected to incorporate the two Friends courses into their degree programs. These courses include:

  • Friends Theology, Worship, and Leadership (GTHE 554)
  • Evangelical Friends History: Birth, Growth, and Organization (GTHE 553)

How much scholarship support can a Friends Center student receive?

All students enrolled through the Friends Center receive 25 percent of their tuition cost in scholarship assistance. No application is necessary for this scholarship. These scholarships transfer to the student’s account after the add/drop date of the term in which the student is enrolled.
