Ordering Official Transcripts
Direct your transcript request to the Office of the Registrar of the last division of the university that you attended (e.g., Undergraduate Registrar, CAPS Registrar, or Graduate Center).
Unofficial transcripts are not available to order. Current students may view or print an unofficial transcript from their Cougars’ Den account.
For Graduate Students
Official transcripts can be requested in the following ways:
- Complete a Request for Official Transcript Form (PDF)* in person at the Graduate Center.
- Send a letter of request to the Office of the Graduate Registrar including:
- Name
- Home Address
- Other/previous name used while attending APU, if any
- Student ID number
- Social Security number
- Number of transcripts requested
- Date of graduation or last semester attended
- Address where transcripts are to be sent
- Original personal signature
- Fee for transcripts
- Fax a Request for Official Transcript Form (PDF)* or letter of request to the Office of the Registrar at (626) 815-4580.

Transcript Fee: $5 per copy.
Acceptable methods of payment include cash (in person only), check, or credit card (Visa, MasterCard, and Discover).
Rush Fee: An additional $20 fee per order.
For all mailed transcript rush orders, please mark "RUSH" on the outside of the envelope. Rush requests are given priority attention. If there is a financial obligation to the university, a past due on a Perkins/NDSL loan, or a current degree to post, we will not be able to release the transcript and/or guarantee rush service.
Express Mail Fee: $15 for Domestic and $25 for Overseas per address.
To have a transcript sent by express mail, the cost is $5 transcript fee, plus $20 rush fee (optional), plus the express mailing fee of $15 (or $25 for overseas). A street address is required; A pre-paid, addressed, overnight envelope may be included with the transcript request, if preferred.
Fax Requests: Fax orders are now accepted. Fax number: (626) 815-4580. All of the information stated above is required plus a credit card number and expiration date for all fax requests. Please note: We do not fax transcripts.
The following can delay or prevent the release of a transcript(s):
- Accounts that have a "past due" on a Perkins/NDSL Loan require a release from the Perkins Loan Officer.
Please note:
- Transcripts will NOT be released until all financial obligations to the university are met.
- We do not fax transcripts.
- We send out all APU work.
- Processing time is the time it takes our office to prepare your transcript to be sent out. This does not include mailing time.
- We cannot guarantee arrival time of your transcript or the time it will take to reach its destination once it has been mailed.
- It is your responsibility to be sure that your grades/degrees are posted when you request your transcripts. Grades can be checked on your Cougars' Den account.
- It is the student’s reasponsibility to direct concerns or discrepancies regarding transcripts to the Graduate Registrar's Office within 90 days of the transcript request.
