Tickets are required to attend Commencement. Each graduate is allotted a specific number of tickets to distribute to guests. Azusa Pacific faculty and staff can get one ticket each on a first-come, first-served basis. Graduates, faculty who are participating in commencement, and staff who are working commencement do not need tickets. Tickets are not available for purchase.
Spring Commencement is held at Cougar Athletic Stadium; Summer and Winter Commencements are held in the Richard and Vivian Felix Event Center. In the case of inclement weather, the Spring Commencement may be moved to the Felix Event Center, in which case rain tickets will be required (rain tickets will be distributed to graduates when they receive their cap and gown).
Check the Commencement Events page for specific information, including dates and times. Commencement ceremonies are two to three hours long.
Gates open two hours before each event. Saving seats is not allowed. Handicap-accessible seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis. For the Spring Commencement ceremonies in Cougar Athletic Stadium, there is a reserved section in the bleachers that is handicap accessible. For the Summer and Winter Commencement ceremonies, there is handicap-accessible seating in the Felix Event Center, as well as elevator access to the second floor.
