Active Status and Probation
In order to receive the ongoing benefits and recognition of being an APU Honors student, participants must maintain “active status.” Students who do not meet the requirements for active status are unlikely to be able to fulfill the requirements of the Honors College and graduate as an Honors Scholar.
Students who do not meet the criteria to be active in the program and to graduate as an Honors Scholar will be put on “probation.” Probation is a temporary status not to exceed one semester in which students may participate in the Honors College on a limited basis.
Should a student continue to not meet criteria to graduate as an Honors Scholar, he or she will be considered “inactive” and the benefits of the Honors College will be revoked.
