Honors Paper Competition
Common Day of Learning
Common Day of Learning (CDL) at Azusa Pacific University is a campus-wide event dedicated to the advancement of scholarship and learning. The event is held on the first Wednesday of March each year and gives faculty, staff, and students the opportunity to share their recent academic discoveries with members of the campus and surrounding communities.
Honors Paper Competition
In the past, Honors Program students have participated in CDL in a number of different ways, in particular, the Honors Paper Competition. The competition offers a small monetary prize and recognition to encourage emerging scholars to distinguish themselves in their fields through research and writing and then to publish their work. A faculty review committee selects the top three essays and publishes them in a journal, Gratia Eruditionis, in order to reflect the academic achievements of undergraduate students and share that remarkable scholarship with a wider audience.
