Christmas break and fall housing checkout
November 5, 2008

It is time to begin thinking about Christmas Break so that you can coordinate appropriately. Please find and read the section below that applies to your situation:

Residence Hall students - No one will be permitted to remain in the residence halls over Christmas Break. The halls will close at noon on December 13th, 2008 and re-open on Friday, January 9th, 2009 at 9:00am. The residence halls include Adams, Engstrom, Smith, and Trinity. If you are not returning home for break, make arrangements with students in the campus apartments or with family or friends off campus

Apartment students – All university apartments will remain open during Christmas Break. The apartments include Bowles, Shire, University Park, and University Village. The cafeteria will also be closed during this time, so meals will be “on your own.”

To all students leaving for break - If you are leaving over break and there is an open space in your room or apartment, it is likely that you will be assigned a new roommate. Please make sure that your unit is ready for your new roommate before you leave. You will be sent a letter to your permanent address over break which will include your new roommate’s name and contact information.

        Checklist for Break Preparation:
  •  Do not return your key if you are returning for the spring 2009 semester.
