Volunteers Working with Minors at Azusa Pacific University

Azusa Pacific University is committed to the safety and protection of minors. The university has determined that a volunteer application and agreement form must be completed and a background check report obtained and reviewed for positions such as coaches, volunteers or hired workers who provide service to or have repetitive access to, or contact with, minors, players, and/or participants in university programs.

How Can I Become a Volunteer at Azusa Pacific University?

Interested volunteers must first complete the Volunteer Application and Agreement Form (PDF) and submit it directly to department. Once the application has been reviewed, you will receive a link via a secure website to complete a background check. The purpose of these background checks is, first and foremost, to protect minors. You should not engage in a volunteer position with APU until you receive notification from a representative of APU's Office of Human Resources that you have satisfactorily completed the background check process. If you have any questions concerning APU’s background check process, please contact the Office of Human Resources at (626) 815-4527.
