IMT Laptop Leasing Program Coordinator and Student Services Supervisor

Description
This person will support students and faculty by coordinating laptop leasing for both groups. This person will assist in management of operations of IMT Student Services. This person will be responsible for the analyzing needs, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining student leased laptops. This person also provides assistance and services as a liaison to the IMT Computer Technicians and Academic Programs to maintain operations and development of a leading edge student computing environment via the leased laptops.
Examples of Duties
- Coordinate the purchase, setup, deployment, repair, and return of leased laptops
- Set up, configure, maintain, and update computer hardware (Intel & Similar PC's, Macs, etc.); peripheral equipment (scanners, printers, CD writers, cameras, etc.); and their respective operating systems and software.
- Diagnose and solve hardware/software problems in a timely manner to comply with established service level agreements and operational level agreements. Uptime is our highest priority.
- Schedule and perform preventative and regular software and hardware maintenance on all laptop program systems.
- Document and publish standard procedures and technical findings on the IMT website.
- Assist in the production of recommendations and documentation regarding computing hardware/software standards.
- Respond to the needs related to and answer questions concerning user’s access of resources on the student network.
- Provide training of standard software products and discipline-specific applications, as requested.
- Configure laptops for use on student/campus network in compliance with established service level agreements.
- Supervise student staff for all laptop program needs.
- Assist in technical support of all leased laptops.
- Support faculty and staff requests to ensure that laptop program requirements are adequate for their needs.
- Ensure the accuracy of the inventory of all leased laptops.
- Identify the need for and input work orders, assign work orders to technicians, and monitor progress.
- Evaluate hardware and software and make recommendations to the Manager of IMT Student Services for purchase..
- Supervise the definition, creation, and implementation of advertising of services for the Laptop Leasing Program.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager of IMT Student Services.
Education
Bachelor degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent experience.
Experience
Minimum 3 years experience with student computing, including development, staff supervision and scheduling.
Skills
Must have the necessary skills to give on the job training to student staff (A+ Certification, AppleCare Technician Training). Knowledge of required computer applications.
Must have excellent customer service skills.
Strong teamwork and team management skills: - Experience in and ability to lead and motivate teams and maintain a high-performance, fast-growth culture.
Ability to effectively assemble and lead cross-functional resources in an effort to meet the expectations of customers
Must be able to effectively work on multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring the integrity of each project.
Must have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills: Effective oral and written communication abilities, ability to gather information through effective questioning, present a professional demeanor and personal, must be a strong leader in collaborative team environments, must be confident and articulate interacting with executives, management and staff in any situation.
