University Assessment and Program Review Coordinator (Temporary)

Description
The Coordinator assists the OIRE Executive Director and other staff members in implementing assessment across all academic and student life departments; oversees the daily administrative tasks related to assessment; provides coordination for training and assisting faculty and staff in using the department assessment portfolio system (TaskStream); insures the Office runs smoothly; and as needed, represents the Office and its Director on campus, in meetings, and other official functions. Assists with accreditation processes.
Training in the using the portfolio system is provided as well as training in assisting faculty and staff with the assessment and accreditation processes
Examples of Duties
- Establish and manage administrative systems appropriate to the Office.
- Represent the Director in meetings and activities.
- Consult with Deans, department chairs, and faculty members on matters related to assessment and program review.
- Create and maintain communication strategies related to university assessment, accreditation, and TaskStream software utilization.
- Serve as the Office’s liaison with other campus administrative functions and activities.
- Prepare and distribute correspondence.
- Receive, distribute, and archive assessment documents.
- Arrange for and schedule meetings and other activities.
- Coordinate assessment training and education.
- Serve as the Recorder for the University Assessment Council.
- Serve as the Office’s purchasing agent and maintain the Office budget.
- As needed, assist with academic Program Review processes.
- Supervise student workers or interns.
- Undertake projects assigned by the Director.
Education
Bachelor’s degree, master’s degree preferred.
Experience
Experience: One or more years of experience with academic program review and assessment processes. Higher Education graduate coursework in program review and assessment processes can count as previous experience. Previous demonstration of capability with adapting to professionals (particularly academics).
Skills
• Possess excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
• Able to learn and work with online assessment tools/resources.
• Able to communicate and work effectively with University staff and faculty.
• Comfortable learning new or added tools/resources used in the Office.
• Competent to represent the Office and its Director in diverse situations.
• Proficient at creating and maintaining communication and administrative systems.

• Work independently under pressure, to meet deadlines. • Take initiative in completing expected tasks. • Be flexible with time and demands required to accomplish assigned duties. • Able to adapt to ambiguity and change. • Ability to learn new programs, processes, and procedures. (i.e. online e-portfolio system) • Ability to work with diverse groups on campus.
