Instructional Technology Support Coordinator

Description
This person is responsible for providing instructional technology support for full-time and adjunct faculty, mentors, staff and candidates in the department of Teacher Education and Special. This person is able to provide taskstream support to other programs in the School of Education. This person reports to the Chair of the Department of Teacher Education and works under direct supervision of the faculty member in charge of Technology Infusion in Teacher Education.
Examples of Duties
- Coordinates the enrollment process for all candidates in TaskStream.
- Coordinates TaskStream support for full-time faculty; add chunks, and candidates at all centers.
- Assists chairs and program directors to collect performance data in TaskStream.
- Assists CSTP/TPE & Technology evaluators with the completion of candidate assignments in TaskStream.
- Assists department chairs and program directors to pilot Technology Resources to support applications into curriculum.
- Assists faculty to develop instructional and professional development activities to meet national and state standards, which support teaching and learning.
- Provides technical support to faculty towards research and teaching.
- Updates department, program, and faculty profiles on public website.
- Assists faculty to develop and implement online surveys and assessments.
- Develops and distributes training documents to faculty and candidates.
- Coordinates and conducts technology orientations in all centers (fall I, spring I, and summer).
- Coordinates technology – based university support services for credential candidates (library, eCompanion, Discovery Education Streaming, AtomicLearning, APU's Home Portal, etc.)
- Explores new and emerging technologies, as approved by supervisor.
- Performs other duties as requested by the departments.
Education
Bachelor of Arts degree or equivalent experience
Experience
3 to 5 years of computer support experience, broad-based knowledge of instructional technology preferred. Knowledge of classroom management and K-12 curriculum and instruction. K-12 teaching experience preferred.
Skills
Outstanding people and technical skills. Strong communication and organizational skills. Flexible, responsible and willing to adapt to a rapidly changing technology environment to support curricular changes.
Mental Demands
Ability to concurrently manage multiple tasks. Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion, logical problem solving. Ability to effectively interface with students, staff, and faculty. Is in agreement with the purpose and goals of Azusa
Pacific University in providing a Christian – based higher education for its students.
Physical Demands
Repetitive use of wrist / fingers on computer. Hearing and speaking on the
telephone. Ability to conduct business and various offices on campus. Able to reach,
bend, grasp, lift up to 40 pounds occasionally. Able to drive long distances and travel to the seven regional centers.
