IMT provides Azusa Pacific University with technology services and resources that enhance teaching and learning in and out of the classroom.
Services we offer include:
Application Management
Application Management maintains existing software and develops new software services for the university.
APU Computer Store
The APU Computer Store offers educational discounts on Apple and Dell computer systems, software, and accessories for students, faculty, and staff. If the item you seek is not in stock, or if you need assistance in selecting a product, helpful staff are available to ensure that your computing needs are fulfilled.
APU Instant Messaging
APU Instant Messaging – also known as APUIM – is a secure instant messaging service available to all students, faculty, and staff. It functions similarly to AOL Instant Messenger, MSN Messenger, Yahoo! Messenger, and other popular chat clients; however, it is completely secure and is open only to members of the APU community. Additionally, students can chat with friends and family on other chat services using the APUIM software.
Cougars’ Den (university portal)
The Cougars’ Den is the new university portal – or, in other words, the new üdeupa. It provides access to email, grades, class registration, and other university services.
Live@APU
Live@APU provides video recordings of various campus events, including, but not limited to, chapel (morning chapels as well as Kaleo evening chapel), sporting events, commencement, and Common Day of Learning seminars.
Media Services
The Media Services team is dedicated to providing excellent service and support as well as appropriate and effective equipment to classroom facilities and other locations to enhance the teaching and learning environment. Services provided include: media equipment in Smart Classrooms, classroom setups, in-classroom support for media equipment, equipment checkout, and event production.
Student Services
Encompasses student-oriented services such as clusters (on-campus computer labs), CMS printing (remote printing in libraries and other locations), RezNet (high-speed wireless and wired Internet access in student living areas), student telecommunications (phone service in the residence halls and Shire H Court), and the University Laptop Program.
Support Desk
The IMT Support Desk staff supports faculty, staff, and students by providing direct IT services and resolving technical problems.
Technology Training
The Technology Training coordinator offers training sessions for faculty and staff, technology newsletters, and quick reference guides for commonly-used technology services.
Telecommunications
The Telecommunications office provides hard-line telephone service as well as Verizon service for faculty and staff. They also provide telephone service to students residing in the residence halls (Adams Hall, Engstrom Hall, Smith Hall, and Trinity Hall) and Shire H Court; please see the Student Services website for more information.
Work Order Request System
With the IMT Work Order Request System, you can accomplish the following without requesting service directly from your support desk personnel: request a password reset, view your work order history, view multiple work orders, check the status on a work order, submit a new work order, and receive an auto-confirmation of a work order via your email. Your technology request will get priority over an email request during office hours. It is available 24/7.
